The Sanctuary – Adult Day Care Centre

The Sanctuary is a non-residential facility dedicated to supporting the health, nutrition, social engagement, and daily living needs of adults in a professionally staffed, group setting. Our primary focus is on individuals with chronic conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, related forms of dementia, adults with disabilities, and the elderly. We strive to improve or maintain the health and emotional well-being of our participants through social stimulation and recreational activities, offering an alternative to staying at home.

Recognizing the increasing burden placed on caregivers as diseases progress, The Sanctuary – Adult Day Care Centre provides much-needed respite to family members who are often overwhelmed with balancing caregiving and other responsibilities. We also offer guidance on healthy diet plans, exercise routines, and opportunities for participants to explore new hobbies or interests.

For those requiring medical attention, we offer nursing care, including regular monitoring of vital signs and other essential health services. Additional services, such as transportation and personal care, are available, along with support groups for caregivers.

Our approach, “Bringing the P.I.E.C.E.S. together,” focuses on addressing the Physical, Intellectual, and Emotional aspects of senior health. By identifying and building on participants’ strengths in a safe and supportive environment, we foster social connectivity and enhance overall well-being.
